The Washington Post comments on the wide variety of outfits seen on women at the State of the Union address. There is clearly no standard for women (whereas every man is wearing a neutral colored suit). Is this okay?
Should these political women be dressing so that they stand out in bright orange, red, purple, green, blue, etc.?
Amy Poehler talks about Hollywood, feminism, and social media in her new interview from Elle Magazine. Her ultimate statement comes from the sexy suit worn on the cover:

From all of us here at La Vida Dor, happy holidays! Over the break I’ve started catching up on my favorite lawyer show… You guessed it, Suits! I LOVE Jessica Pearson (Played by Gina Torres). She always looks classy and in control; her stylists know how to put an outfit together. Do you guys watch the show? Who’s your favorite (or best dressed) character?
Have a relaxing break!
When men were asked about which trends they hated the most, here is one ‘trend’ that kept popping up. See the quote below.
Then what are we supposed to wear for work?
I went out of town last weekend, and in line to get on the plane there was a woman wearing a really nice grey suit; it fit her well, and made her look tall and confident. Definitely some inspiration. She had straight hair, nice heels, and the fitted suit, which had two buttons on the front and five on the sleeve (a few too many for me, but it fit the look). It looked somewhat like this one except not as shiny and a better fit.
It’s always cool to see what people are wearing out, and it’s awesome when someone still wants to look classy while flying! Where do you get inspiration? Would you ever wear a suit on a plane?
Power Suits in Designer Collections, Movies
The ‘Power Suit’ is powerful again. But should women’s suits be an object of trends? For some it is an everyday piece, for others, a fashion statement.

She also wears traditional suits but they’re more flattering on her. The material of her suits are more sleek and remind us of the modern-day, male suit. She one wore a green suit-like piece that I find intriguing – but I can’t really say too much more about it. Read the caption for more details.
